HIgh Road House, London is one of many of the exquisite Hotels owned by the SoHo House Group. High Road House is one of my personal favorites. It has a "Schoolhouse Electric" vibe to it. Very utilitarian, but warm and inviting.
You can thank Alexander Evangelou & James Waterworth of Alexander Waterworth Interiors for this beautifully executed space, full of so much interior design inspiration. They chose to go with a bright palette , yet really grounded the space with all the lovely dark accents and mid century furniture. Apparently much of the furniture was from Mar-Den. Hop on over and check out what they source. You will be inspired, I promise!
The Brass accents in the bar and on some of the light fixtures lend to a sense of refinement in the rooms. I love them in combination with all the other materials in the room. Such as, the painted brick, tile, dark wood floors and the moldings. It adds so much interest when you combine materials.
They sourced most of the art from local emerging british artists, with pieces from Elizabeth Price, Ryan Gander and Mark Wallinger. Don't you love the gallary walls? I see no reason we can't copy placement and style of these pieces. Isn't coping the biggest form of flattery?
The limited palatte used in the bedrooms creates a very calm relaxing space. I love the shaker peg rails used on the walls around the room. Adds extra storage and looks extrelemly stylish. What are your favorite elements of this Hotel / House? Any ideas that you came away with for decorating or remodeling your home? I am soon to be starting bathroom remodels so the black and white floors got my wheels turning. I also love the walls in the bedrooms. My husband and I might just copy this element too!
Hope you have been inspired by another edition of Hotels & Inspiration! Have a lovely week!
